Our modern diving centre is located in the fishing village of Puerto de Santiago and is fully equipped with shop, dedicated classroom, kit room with shower and toilet facilities.
We cater for all diving abilities from the beginner to the more experienced diver, or maybe you would like to discover scuba diving for the first time - what better place than the warm crystal clear waters of Tenerife. Ocean blue divers offers discounts for clubs and groups, contact us for further information. Our instructors are PADI and BSAC trained, with over 25 years of diving experience between them. At ocean blue divers, our main concerns are safety and enjoyment. Most of our diving is done from our 6-metre rib, which is always manned when divers are in the water and is equipped with oxygen and marine radio for your safety.
We can also offer shore diving (weather permitting), as an alternative to some of the dive sites a little further afield.

In September, Ocean Blue Divers teamed up with the Bomberos from Santiago Del Teidi to clean up the Santiago Beach.

The aim - to make Santiago Beach safer more enjoyable place for everyone, and to try and bring back the wildlife.

 It was a great day, here are some snaps.

Type: Boat Dive
The Maximum depth: 12m 
Visibility: 20 – 30m 

This is a very easy and relaxing dive, we can drop anchor in 3 metres and the maximum depth is about 12 metres. We regularly use this site for check out dives and training. Located under the cliffs of Los Gigantes the site has several small plateaus where marine life is in abundance.

Type: Boat Dive
The Maximum depth: 40m 
Visibility: 10 – 20m

As you leave Los Gigantes port and before you get to Punta de Teno, you will find this attractive diving site. It is situated 300 meters from the coast right off the Masca Ravine.

Untill you reach the barrier, the sea bed is rock with some sandy areas, in the sandy areas its is not difficult to observe stingrays laying around, and between the rocks comb groupers, trumpetfish, white breams, canary drum, swallwtail seaperches, brown scorpionfish etc…

Route:

It is a deep dive and therefore recommend to experienced divers. We anchor in 20 meters and going westward until reaching the barrier which is at 40 meters, parallel to the coast.

As we explore the wall we will find small caves, we the go back to the top of the barrier and up the anchor, making the neccessary decompression stops.

Type: Boat Dive
The Maximum depth: 25m 
Visibility: 10 – 20m

Ten Minutes to the north of Los Gigantes Harbour, we arrive at the foot of the impressive cliffs of Los Gigantes (The Giants), and this specatcular dive site.

Route: 

Seeing the impressive cliffs of Los Gigantes one assmes they will contne below the surface of the water; how ever they submerge little more than 10 metres.

We drop achor at 15m in an area of sand and loose rocks, where we must take care not to disturbthe sand and reduce visibility. Moving north, closer to the foot of the cliff, we cross several canals of rock and arrive at a volcanic rock arach, at 8 meteres depth.

Feeding animals whilst underwater is a contentious issue, with hotly debated pros and cons, but wherever you stand on the debate, you have to concede that Canaries species diversity and abundance has benefited from the feeding programmes. This site is a bi-weekly opportunity for divers to feed the fish and rays that are resident to this site.

Atlantic, Eagle and Stingrays are hand fed with small fish chunks from a bin lowered to the site, and divers have a real opportunity to interact with these wonderful marine species. Unfortunately the activity created by lots of fish species feeding, and divers moving to get a good view.

Type: Shore Dive
The Maximum depth: 12m 
Visibility: 20 – 30m 

This is a great site for new divers, we enter via the beach or the harbour steps, we follow some pipework out to the sandy area where we can see sea horses, fish and much much more.

The seabed starts of rocky with numerous nooks and crannies to have a good search around but very quickly becomes sandy.

Type: Shore
Depth: 17 - 22 metres (56 - 72 feet)
Visibility: 30 - 40 metres (100 - 130 feet) 

We Enter via the Beach opposite cliffs formed from a yellow coloured stone, which gives the dive site it’s name. The seabed in the bay is rocky with patches of sand with numerous nooks and crannies to have a good search around. Swimming out to sea we drop down to a huge partial rock arch which is formed by the edges of two rock plateau’s. The two plateau’s peter out as we head out out to sea and the space between them widens out to a seabed of sand covered with Garden Eels. Following the left hand side we continue down to about 22m and the edge of the plateau At 24-26m is a large ball of Procedures We then turn and come back on top of the plateau, 12m, and head back to the partial rock arch where we started. Besides the arch are two swim troughs one a 4m vertical drop which leads onto the second 3m horizontal swim through.
